This apartment is a fantastic find. We loved the authentic feel of Florence that the location provided. It was easy to walk everywhere from the address. There were so many fantastic restaurants, Gelaterias, and cafes around, we had no problem finding fabulous places to eat. The street is crowded and noisy, especially with the morning and afternoon work hour traffic, but the apartment was well insulated, and it was quiet inside with the windows closed. Alessandra greeted us warmly upon check-in, and gave us a map and shared some tips on areas to visit and sights to see. There are stairs going up to the apartment, which we were aware of, yet we did not find them too tricky with our light luggage. If you have cumbersome luggage or many bags, it might be a little more challenging. The kitchen is small but more than adequate to prepare simple meals. There were no paper towels or napkins, so you may want to pick some up if you think you will be using the kitchen for your meals. Also, there was no way to make coffee other than a Krups machine, which would be ok if more coffee was provided for the length of our stay. Two of us were there for three nights, and there were only four pods left out. We tried to purchase more, but we could not find them in the local market. It may not be a big deal to many since there are so many lovely cafes near-by, but for those of us who need it before venturing out, it was a bit of a nuisance. The bedroom had a comfortable bed, and the bathroom was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The water in the shower was nice and hot. There is only one mirror in the apartment, and it is in the bathroom, which is a bit dark to see for applying make-up. Still, a minor thing, but worth noting. All in all, we were delighted with the location, the cleanliness, and the hosts. If we return to Florence, we would definitely stay there again.
